 MR-J2S-200A/B Mitsubishi High-performance MR-J2S AC Servo Drives

 MR-J2S-200A and MR-J2S-200B are general-purpose AC servo drives launched by Mitsubishi Electric, belonging to the high-performance MR-J2S series, but there are important differences in communication interfaces between the two.

 MR-J2S-200A Main  Features:

• Interface type: Universal interface type
• Core difference: Supports pulse sequence and analog voltage commands, compatible with traditional controllers.  
• Typical application: Suitable for single axis or renovation and upgrade projects with low real-time requirements.
• Power specification: Three phase AC 200~230V, 50/60Hz

 
MR-J2S-200B Main  Features:

• Interface type: SSCNET connection type
• Core difference: It must be connected to the motion controller through Mitsubishi SSCNET fiber optic bus to achieve high-speed, multi axis synchronous control.
• Typical application: Commonly used in multi axis, high-precision, and highly synchronized automation equipment, such as CNC machine tools and robots.

Power specification:  Single phase/three-phase AC100~120V (some data shows, it is recommended to verify)

The high-performance features of this series of drives are consistent except for the interface differences:

• High performance control: supports three control modes of position, speed, and torque and their mutual switching.
  
• High precision and high response: Using a 17 bit (131072 pulse/rev) high-resolution encoder, the speed and frequency response can reach up to 550Hz, and the control accuracy and response speed are higher than the previous generation MR-J2 series.
  

• Easy to use: Built in automatic tuning, mechanical resonance suppression, gain search and other functions simplify debugging

 MR-J2S-200A/B Selection and application suggestions:

Simply put, choosing 200A or 200B depends on your control system architecture:

• If your upper level controller (such as PLC) outputs pulse signals or requires analog control, MR-J2S-200A should be selected.
  

If your system is based on Mitsubishi's motion controllers (such as the Q series) and you plan to use high-speed fiber optic networks for multi axis synchronous control, you should choose MR-J2S-200B.
