ABB Eden Non-Contact Safety Sensor – Ultimate safety standard for tough environments:

Eden is a non-contact safety sensor functioning as an interlocking device, suitable for applications such as door interlocking and safe position monitoring. It comprises two components: Adam and Eva. Adam detects the presence of Eva without any mechanical contact, thus eliminating wear and tear. Thanks to its compact design and 360° mounting capability, Eden can be easily utilized in most applications. Various Eden models are available to match different types of control modules. All Eden models facilitate achieving PLe effortlessly, often requiring fewer components compared to alternative solutions. Every Eden model boasts IP67/IP69K protection ratings.

Features:

• Eden sensors can be connected in series while retaining Cat. 4 safety level.
• Only one Eden per guard is sufficient to reach PL e (in contrast to needing two key switches).
• Eden attains PL e without the requirement for regular inspections (refer to ISO/TR 24119).

Models:

• Eden DYN:Adam DYN utilizes the ABB Jokab Safety DYNlink signal, which enables the series connection of multiple safety products while maintaining PL e with just a single channel. DYNlink signals must be used in conjunction with a Vital safety controller or Pluto safety PLC.
• Eden OSSD:Adam OSSD is compatible with all safety relays and safety PLCs that support OSSD signals (typically used for light guards).
• Eden AS-i:Eden AS-i can be used with any AS-i monitor. AS-i is a bus system that allows for the simple connection of up to 31 safety devices to a single monitor, meeting PL e standards. It also simplifies the process of moving, removing, and adding safety devices.
