Q172CPUN Description
The Q172CPUN is a high-performance motion control CPU module for Mitsubishi Electric’s MELSEC-Q Series PLC system, designed for multi-axis servo motion control in industrial automation. It integrates independent motion processing and PLC logic control, supporting up to 8 axes of high-precision servo control via Mitsubishi’s SSCNET (Servo System Controller Network) high-speed serial bus. Built for multi-CPU configurations, it operates alongside standard Q Series PLC CPUs to separate motion and sequence control, delivering synchronized, high-speed positioning for complex machinery. It supports Motion SFC programming, advanced interpolation, and real-time monitoring, and is compatible with Q Series I/O, analog, and special function modules for flexible system expansion. Note: This model is discontinued (replaced by Q172DSCPU), with repair support ending September 2025.
