HA-FF33 Description

The Mitsubishi HA-FF33 is a standard transistor output block designed for the MELSEC-Q Series PLCs. Unlike relay-based output modules, it utilizes photo-coupler isolated MOSFET transistors to switch connected DC loads. This design provides significantly higher switching speeds, virtually unlimited mechanical lifespan, and silent operation, making it ideal for applications requiring high-speed, high-frequency ON/OFF cycles. The HA-FF33 is engineered for reliability in controlling DC-based devices directly from the PLC's logic outputs.

HA-FF33 Features

  • High-Speed Switching:​ Utilizes semiconductor (MOSFET) outputs capable of microsecond-level response times, enabling control of high-frequency pulse signals for applications like high-speed counters or PWM control.
  • Long Service Life:​ As a solid-state device with no moving contacts, it offers an essentially infinite mechanical operational life, eliminating wear and tear and the need for replacement due to contact degradation.
  • Sink/Source Configurable:​ The output circuit is designed to be compatible as a sink output​ module (common terminal connected to the positive side [+V] of the load power supply), which is a common configuration in many industrial control systems.
  • High Reliability & Low Noise:​ Solid-state switching produces no arc, reducing electrical noise and the risk of fire in hazardous environments. It provides stable performance even under high-frequency operation.
  • Compact & Efficient:​ Integrates 32 output points into a high-density module, saving valuable panel space. It features minimal heat generation and low internal power consumption.
  • Clear Status Indication:​ Each output point is equipped with a bright LED indicator for clear visual confirmation of the ON/OFF status, aiding in commissioning and troubleshooting.

HA-FF33 Material & Primary Applications

  • Material:​ The housing is made of flame-retardant engineering plastic. Internal components include a glass-epoxy PCB, photo-couplers for isolation, power MOSFET transistors, and protection diodes.
  • Primary Applications:
    • High-speed control of solenoids, valves, and indicators.
    • Driving solid-state relays (SSRs) and other DC input devices.
    • Applications requiring high-frequency ON/OFF switching (e.g., strobe lights, buzzer patterns).
