Regenerative Resistor Requirements
Regenerative resistors are not built into 200V (50W to 400W) and 100V (50W to 400W) SERVOPACKs. External regenerative resistors are required when the load moment of inertia exceeds 10-30 times the motor shaft inertia, or when regenerative drive conditions exceed the allowable loss capacity of built-in resistors.
