The IC693CPU350 is a controller belonging to the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 lineup, integrated into a modular control system. As a single-slot-wide module, it can manage up to eight baseplates in total—including the local baseplate where the CPU itself is installed. A typical system configuration consists of one CPU baseplate plus seven expansion or remote baseplates.

Equipped with 32K Bytes of non-configurable user memory, the IC693CPU350 boasts impressive I/O handling capabilities: up to 2048 discrete inputs, 2048 discrete outputs, 2048 analog input words, and 512 analog output words. It also features 1280 bits of discrete global memory, 9999 words of register memory, and 28 words of system registers. This high I/O density and memory configuration make the controller well-suited for medium to large-scale industrial applications.

Notably, the IC693CPU350 has one integrated serial port but no independent communication port for primary data exchange. Instead, it leverages either the serial port or the RS485 communication interface integrated into the power supply module—enabling connections to programming workstations, Hand-Held Programmers (HHPs), and other devices compliant with the RS485 standard. The serial port natively supports SNP/SNP-X slave protocols; for extended protocol support (such as RTU master, SNP/SNP-X master, or CCM), a PCM module or CMM module is required respectively.

The IC693CPU350 offers multiple configuration options. It can be programmed using software applications including LogicMaster90, Control, VersaPro, and CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Logic Developer. Additionally, legacy Hand-Held Programmers (HHPs) remain compatible for program writing and configuration tasks.

Powered by an 80386EX internal processor running at 25 MHz, the IC693CPU350 delivers a typical scan rate of 0.22 milliseconds per 1K of boolean logic. It supports a range of advanced functions, including override capability, interrupts via periodic subroutines, PCM/CCM compatibility, and floating-point math operations. The controller also accommodates over 2000 timers and counters, as well as shift registers. For expanded communication capabilities, it supports add-on modules such as Ethernet, FIP, Profibus, GBC, GCM, and GCM+.

As a single-slot CPU module, the IC693CPU350 requires an input of 5 Volts DC with a current draw of 670 milliamps. It incorporates both flash and RAM memory, and operates within a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, ensuring reliability in various industrial environments.
