The GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693CPU311 is a specialized 5-slot baseplate with an integrated CPU, equipped with 6 KB of user program memory. As a key component for numerous Series 90-30 PLC systems, this baseplate is not universally compatible with all components in the Series 90-30 product line. For instance, it cannot accommodate Series 90-30 PCM and CCM devices. It also lacks advanced features such as a battery-backed clock, interrupt functionality, and override capabilities.

That said, the IC693CPU311 retains a robust set of core functions, including shift register support, 170 built-in timers or counters, and an integrated serial port (housed within the PLC’s power supply module and compatible with SNP slave and SNP-X slave protocols). In terms of memory options, the baseplate supports RAM, along with optional EPROM and EEPROM modules to meet diverse storage needs. For network connectivity, it can communicate via multidrop LAN, as well as optional communication modules for Ethernet, FIP, Profibus, GBC, GCM, and GCM+.
