The IC693PRG300 is a handheld programming device developed by GE Fanuc, belonging to the Series 90-30 product line. Designed primarily to monitor logical operations, this device also enables configuration and debugging of application programs. As a dedicated PLC programming tool, it supports modification of I/O parameters and connects to the PLC CPU via its built-in serial port—facilitated by a 15-pin D-type connector that interfaces directly with the CPU's serial port.

The IC693PRG300 utilizes Statement List (STL) programming language for operation. Notably, no communication parameter configuration is required for this handheld programmer (HHP) to establish communication with a PLC, ensuring plug-and-play convenience. The front panel features a 42-key keypad arranged in a 6×7 matrix layout, which provides tactile feedback for intuitive operation. Accompanying the keypad is an LCD screen capable of displaying 2 lines of information with 16 characters per line.

Equipped with a memory card slot located on the lower right side, the GE Fanuc IC693PRG300 supports non-volatile data storage, enabling convenient backup and restoration of program data. This device operates in four distinct modes, each tailored to specific operational needs:

Program Mode: Allows operators to create, edit, monitor, and debug program statements;
Protection Mode: Provides access control for various PLC functions to prevent unauthorized operations;
Data Mode: Enables modification of values in different reference tables within the PLC system;
Configuration Mode: Used to define the types of I/O modules required for the specific applications running on the PLC system.
