IC697CHS783 VME Integrator Rack
The IC697CHS783 is a VME integrator rack by GE Fanuc, designed to seamlessly support third-party VME modules requiring 0.8-inch installation spacing. It is fully compatible with all GE IC697 PLC modules and operates on a 5V DC power supply, with a maximum allowable input current of 3.3 Amps.
Featuring a 17-slot backplane for easy integration with other VME modules, the rack supports front mounting on a 19-inch rack and rear mounting in an enclosure with a 10-inch depth. It can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, adapting to diverse application requirements. A single power supply unit must be installed in the leftmost slot to power the rack.
With dimensions of 11.15 inches (height) × 19 inches (width) × 7.5 inches (depth), the rack requires adequate clearance around it to ensure proper airflow. Module retention is secured via molded latches that snap onto the rack’s upper and lower rails. Configuration flexibility is enhanced by a series of jumpers located on the backplane near each slot, and the IC697 system allows users to configure I/O point references for installed modules.
An optional rack fan assembly is supported, featuring low-noise fans with ball bearings for extended operational lifespan, further ensuring stable performance in various industrial environments.
