The GE Fanuc IC660BBD020 I/O block is a DC-powered 16-circuit source/sink module featuring configurable I/O functionality, enabling seamless integration with a broad spectrum of DC actuators and sensors. Rated for 24/48 VDC operation, this source block is suitable for use with 3-wire solid-state sensors and electromechanical sensors alike. Each of its 16 circuits can be independently configured as an input, tri-state input, or output. The module has a typical power draw of 150 mA, with a maximum current requirement of 300 mA.
The IC660TSD020 terminal assembly, along with the entire IC660BBD020 block it constitutes a part of, operates on a single DC power source within the range of 18–56 VDC. When all 16 outputs are energized at 2 A, the block’s total heat dissipation amounts to 68.8 W. Individual LEDs are assigned to each circuit for load-side status indication, complemented by additional LEDs that display the overall operational status of the block.
The IC660BBD020 block boasts an input processing latency of 1.7 ms and an input impedance of 5.6 kΩ. It is equipped with comprehensive input diagnostic capabilities, including open-wire detection, failed switch recognition, and overtemperature monitoring. For output performance, the module delivers a steady-state current of 2 A per circuit, with inrush current capable of reaching up to 10 A. At 35 °C, the maximum total output current of the block is 15 A. A minimum load of 50 mA is recommended when no-load mode is not enabled.
GE Fanuc specifies an operating temperature range of 0–60 °C for both the IC660TSD020 terminal assembly and the complete I/O block system.
