The IC693MDL655 is a high-density digital input module engineered for Emerson Automation’s Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. Designed for versatile system integration, this module is compatible with all Series 90-30 baseplates—including CPU baseplates, I/O expansion baseplates, and remote I/O baseplates—and can be directly mounted in any available I/O slot of 5-slot or 10-slot baseplates, occupying only a single slot. It is fully compatible with both embedded and modular CPUs of the Series 90-30 product line.
As a high-density input solution, the IC693MDL655 features 32 discrete input points, logically divided into four groups of 8 inputs each. Each input channel supports on/off type field devices operating within a voltage range of 0–30 VDC, with a nominal voltage rating of 24 VDC. Typical compatible devices include limit switches, level switches, proximity switches, auxiliary contacts, pushbuttons, and similar discrete control components.
Distinguished from conventional digital input modules, the IC693MDL655 is equipped with two pre-mounted male 24-pin connectors (Fujitsu FCN-365P024-AU) on its front panel, which interface with input groups A, B, C, and D. Connection to field devices requires the use of pre-wired cables, which are sold separately; recommended compatible models include the IC693CBL327 and IC693CBL328, with custom cable configurations also supported. For intuitive operational monitoring, the module is fitted with group-specific LED status indicators, labeled A1–A8 (Group 1), B1–B8 (Group 2), C1–C8 (Group 3), and D1–D8 (Group 4).

It maintains a robust isolation rating of 1500 V between the field side and logic side, with isolation achieved via built-in opto-couplers on the module. The maximum on/off response time for all input channels is 2 milliseconds.
