It serves to protect against moisture entering a motor. The GSS motors Superior Sealing proprietary process creates a moisture barrier that stands up to the harshest environments. We recommend this process for new & used motors to maximize the life of the motor.

The motor windings are completely coated with an insulation resin (such as Epoxy), this process is designed for exposure to more severe atmospheric conditions than the normal varnished windings.
