Featuring an extruded aluminum frame (sizes 180-280) and rolled steel construction (sizes 56-140), this motor is built with aluminum end shields that incorporate steel bearing inserts. It comes with Class F insulation, ensuring a Class B temperature rise when operating at full load on 60 Hz sine wave power. For frames 140 and larger, a "CE" mark is clearly displayed on the nameplate.
Equipped with an oversized, diagonally split conduit box, the motor is designed to perform in ambient temperatures up to 40°C, meeting NEMA Design B specifications when powered by a 60 Hz sine wave. Frames 180-280 are rated for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation, as indicated on the nameplate.
Shaft-end bearings on frames 180-280 are regreasable, while those on frames 56-140 are sealed; frames 180-280 also feature double-shielded bearings. Frames 250 and larger are suitable for Wye-Delta starting and come with dual voltage ratings for versatile application.
This motor is ideal for use with pumps, fans, compressors, material handling equipment, and other general-purpose machinery, even in damp, dusty, or dirty environments.
