The SACO 64D4 is a self-contained, microprocessor-driven annunciator unit featuring 64 alarm channels. It finds application in a wide range of scenarios, including monitoring alarm and signalling contacts in power plants, substations, and industrial process facilities. This alarm unit is also certified for use in offshore installations and marine environments. Additionally, it can be employed in any setting requiring supervision of on/off signals.

The annunciator unit enables instant fault detection, identification, and the activation of both visual and audible alarms when an abnormal process condition occurs. It also facilitates subsequent fault analysis, allowing for prompt implementation of corrective actions and ensuring full process control is maintained.

These annunciator units can operate as independent stand-alone devices, or multiple units can be interconnected and linked to printers, terminals, and other equipment to form comprehensive supervision, event sequence reporting, and data acquisition systems. A single system can support a maximum of 560 annunciator channels, with a time-marking resolution of 10 milliseconds.
