Key Features and Functionality
This module offers two high-speed counting channels that support incremental and quadrature counting modes, with a maximum counting frequency of 500,000 Hz. It ensures accurate monitoring and control in high-speed applications such as position tracking, rotary encoder systems, and precision process monitoring.
The module uses six input and six output words for addressing and supports both 16-bit (65,535 decimal) and 32-bit (2,147,483,647 decimal) data storage formats.
Input and Output Specifications
The 140-EHC-202-00 accommodates multiple discrete input voltage levels: 5V, 12V, and 24V DC, with operating thresholds varying according to the selected mode. It features an input resistance of 10 kΩ for stable signal acquisition.
For output, the module provides four discrete outputs based on Field Effect Transistor (FET) technology, enabling fast and reliable switching. Each output supports a load current of 0.5A with a voltage drop of 0.4V in the ON state. Short-circuit protection is ensured through a 2.5A fuse.
