Product Description
This Advanced Interface Converter (AIC) enables DF1 capable devices including MicroLogix, CompactLogix, SLC 500, PLC-5 and third-party devices to connect to EtherNet/IP networks. The converter allows point-to-point devices to interface with multi-node communication networks without requiring replacement of existing controllers.
The interface features an isolated 8-Pin Mini DIN RS232 port supporting full-duplex DF1 protocol and an RJ45 Ethernet port. It mounts separately from the PLC, preserving expansion module slots. The device supports 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connections with auto-negotiation and includes Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) service for email messaging capabilities.
