The GE Fanuc IC660BBS103 is an intelligent Genius I/O block module equipped with eight configurable circuits that can function as either input or output channels. It supports dual-voltage operation, compatible with both 115 VAC and 125 VDC power supplies.
Boasting compact physical dimensions of 8.83 in (22.44 cm) × 3.34 in (8.48 cm) × 3.91 in (9.93 cm) (H×W×D), the module has a net weight of 4 lbs (1.8 kg). It is integrated with status LED indicators, including Unit OK and I/O Enabled, as well as dedicated LEDs for each of the eight circuits to enable real-time operational monitoring. The module offers a block-to-block isolation rating of 1500 V, with maximum heat dissipation reaching 16.8 W under full-input operation and 45.6 W when all outputs are energized at 2 A per circuit. As a versatile Genius I/O output block configured with eight output circuits and dual AC/DC voltage compatibility, the IC660BBS103 serves as the successor to the legacy GE IC660BBS101 I/O block. Notably, neither the IC660BBS103 nor its predecessor supports failed switch diagnostics.
Supplementing its input performance specifications, the module maintains AC and DC input processing latencies of 2 ms and 0.8 ms respectively, paired with a configurable input filter time spanning 10–100 ms in 10 ms steps. Its input diagnostic suite covers open-wire faults, overtemperature issues, and I/O power loss. The input load network is defined as 13 kΩ (resistor connected to the N terminal) and 0.1 μF (capacitor connected to the H terminal).
In terms of output specifications, the module provides 2 A RMS current for AC loads and 2 A resistive current for DC loads. The maximum block output current is rated at 15 A under 35 °C ambient temperature and 7.5 A at 60 °C, with internal electronic fusing to safeguard against short circuits. It is designed to operate in environments with a relative humidity range of 5–95% (non-condensing), and the maximum ambient air temperature must not exceed 60 °C.
